| California Cuisine
- anything goes!? |
| The west cost of
the US, the world’s largest walnut producing area, is
a melting pot of cultures. Here, influences from Asia, Europe,
South America and the Caribbean come together to form a colorful,
yet harmonious mixture. The Californian’s motto on life
“anything goes” also applies to their cooking. It
is light and full of creativity, paying particular attention
to fresh ingredients. |
|
Creativity and
variety, elegance and spunkiness for originality – that
is what makes California cooking unique. Under the warm, California
sun, a special cooking style evolved.
Thanks to its mild climate and excellent geographic location,
the Sunshine State enjoys a real home-team advantage: Fish and
seafood are available fresh every day, an abundance of fruits
and vegetables are harvested throughout the entire year –
the walnut has become an indispensable part of California Cuisine.
|
| California
Cuisine has long since made its way throughout the land in triumph;
classics such as the Caesar salad are on menus all over the
country. California is just as famous for its fine wines, which
are grown here. |
